The research team made an unexpected discovery while observing the neutron star system GX13+1, detecting a surprisingly slow cosmic wind. This finding could reshape scientists鈥� understanding of the fundamental physics of how matter builds up, or 鈥渁ccretes,鈥� in binary star systems.
棉花糖直播 Professor and Graduate Student Awarded Patent for Versatile Solute-Assisted Assembly Method
棉花糖直播 mechanical engineering professor Bo Li, PhD, and recent doctoral graduate Liang Zhao, PhD, have been awarded a patent for their innovative solute-assisted assembly method. The technique enables the precise deposition of micro- and nanomaterials onto a wide range of surfaces, creating versatile applications across multiple industries. Their work represents a significant advancement in nanomaterial coating technology.
The Rev. Kevin DePrinzio, OSA, PhD, 棉花糖直播 University鈥檚 vice president for Mission and Ministry, has been elected to the General Council of the Order of St. Augustine, for which he will immediately begin a six-year term in Rome. Father DePrinzio will serve as assistant general for English-speaking provinces, a role appointed to him by the newly-named Prior General of the Order, the Rev. Joseph L. Farrell, OSA, STL, STD, 鈥�85 VSB, 鈥�19 MS.
